History of Formosa Flexible Packaging Corp.

From food to technology, now towards all new eco-friendly generation

Founded in 1963, FFPC is the flexible packaging supplier for many famous semiconductor, biotechnology, consumer goods and food (or pet food), providing professional customized research, design, printing and pouches service for all kinds of laminated bags (Aluminum pouches). Starting from providing food packaging in 2018, we expanded our services to become a semiconductor supplier. Recently, we put our emphasis on eco-friendly packaging. As a part of the Hotai Motor Group, the background and stable management team enables us to be a reliable laminated pouches supplier for all clients.

Began with food flexible packaging since 1963.

Expanding into multi-functional flexible packaging area

Formosa Flexible Packaging Corp. belongs to Hotai Motor Group (TOYOTA agent) and we have the same founder Mr. Huang Lieh-Ho who is a famous enterpriser. At first, we are one of the departments in Weichuan. In 1963, we separated from the Weichuan food packaging department and become Formosa Flexible Packaging Corp.

In 1965, our primary shareholder changed to Hotai Motor Group. The famous enterpriser Mr. Su Yan-Hui was one of our chairmen before. Thus, we shared a similar style of the management team. Initially, FFPC started by providing a single function for food laminated pouches and aluminum bags. Soon after, we offered solutions for consumer goods, biotechnology and pharmaceutical packaging, semiconductor packaging, and new function packaging for battery or other fields. Moreover, we are proud to say that we are leading Taiwan’s flexible packaging industry to a new market by investing many resources in developing eco-friendly and sustainable packaging.

Our leading Class 10,000 Cleanroom Plant for the high-tech semiconductor users

Following the growing for the semiconductor in 2000, FFPC is getting into the technology field. After the strict test, we become the qualified supplier for providing multi-functional packaging for the famous semiconductor. To attain the same level of clean quality as most technology factories, we built the Class 10,000 Cleanroom in 2008 and became a reliable supplier for the technology industry.

Expanding overseas to serve you globally

To provide real-time service to clients from different areas, we have set our offices in Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung, and Tainan city so that our sales managers can reach the clients sooner and provide the service face to face. Besides, we are proud to announce our subsidiary in California, Formosa Flexible Packaging America Inc. (FFPA), to provide our service to USA clients.

All our teams are your teams

FFPC adjusts the production line to meet the client's daily standards. To be part of the Hotai Motor Group, we also use TPS (Toyota Production System) in our production line; therefore, we can provide our products more efficiently and accurately.

1. R&D Team

Our R&D department will provide a professional opinion for the customized packaging. We will provide advice for material structure or production line to meet the client's requirements for the package content and packaging machine. In 2017, our R&D center became an independent department which we will call" the best solution for our clients."

2. Account manager Team

Our sales team serves a quick response to clients with a great attitude. Moreover, we have several sales offices in Taiwan, from Taipei to Tainan. Ensuring our account manager can visit clients' company or factory quickly. Since customized packaging is complicated, it would be better to discuss the packaging content, packaging machine, storage method, and sales method with clients face to face.

3. Manufacture Team

FFPC has more than ten groups of production technology teams with nearly 60 years of experience.From cylinder making, printing, PE lamination, dry lamination, slitting, pouch making to anti-static coating technology, we have stable producing capability to organize in one-stop service. With using the new plant and new machines, our quality and lead time is trusted by the clients.

4. Quality Management Team

Our quality management team is an independent department. They will inspect all the spec and quality for the raw material, semi-finished goods and finished products for our clients. Our quality management team will provide rigorous claim report and listen to the feedback from clients. Moreover, we welcome all the clients to visit and audit our factory so that they can purchase our products with more confidence.

History

1963

Mr. Huang Lieh-Ho established the Formosa Flexible Packaging Corp. in Xinzhuang Taipei. (Hotai Motor Group is the main shareholder)

1986

Moved to current place Hsinchu city, Hukou township due to the growing sales.

2008

High-tech Materials Plant started. (With 10,000 class clean room and TPS production system, we have become one of the suppliers for the semiconductor industry.)

2011

Using the RCO (Regenerative Catalyst Oxidizer) from Finland EHOVOC to decompose the exhaust air during the production, we are the leader in this industry to install the environmental equipment.

2012

High accuracy 9-color printing machine was added and the mass production began.

2013

RTO (Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer) installed for the exhaust air during the production.
In Dec, we changed our English name from China Gravure Industries, Inc. to Formosa Flexible Packaging Corp. (FFPC)

2017

R&D Center was set up. Adding more equipment and employee and focus on the process improvement and new product development.

2018

Our compostable packaging” LÜ^® series “got the certifications BPI from USA and DIN CERTCO from Europe.

2019

Adding the new pouch making machine for electronic packaging, 4-color printing machine for aluminum films, 7-color printing machine, slitting machine and automatic quality inspection machine.
